Wall painting for Woonstichting Lieven de Key, located at Hoogte Kadijk in Amsterdam. The street was once home to one of the largest breweries in the Netherlands, called ‘De Gekroonde Valk’. These houses were built in 1828 for the brewery workers and are known as the ‘Sibbelwoningen’.

My contribution to the group exhibition ‘Color Colission’, organized by Kelderman en van Noort (KEVN).

I challenged myself to create a series of drawings, practicing my “steady hand”. At times feeling like a human printer, and embracing the imperfect lines and handmade mistakes. Finding a balance between my line work and solid shapes — two elements in my work that had always existed separately.

Wall painting at the entree of ‘Crossroads’, a sustainable residential tower for 132 students in Sloterdijk, Amsterdam. The tower offers affordable rental apartments in a dynamic location with a unique view of the railway tracks.

A series of seven murals for the residential blocks in the Reimerswaal neighborhood in Osdorp, Amsterdam.
Commissioned by Ymere.

Following the renovation of the buildings in 2021, I made the artwork for all the entrances. Each entrance its own identity, each building its own theme. The themes reflect the original characteristics of the Westelijke Tuinsteden: light (sun), water, fauna (birds), and flora (trees, vegetables, fruit, and flowers).

In 2023, children from the nearby schools El Amien and Lukasschool wrote poems about their neighborhood. Their texts, together with the established themes, formed the starting point for a new design for each building.

The murals were made possible in part through the support of @afk020 (the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts).

In 2022, I started working on the new brand identity for OBA, the Public Library of Amsterdam. OBA is much more than a library — it is a cultural hub offering books, events, learning programs, and communities across the city.

Illustration work for the new brand identity of Lieven de Key. Lieven de Key is a housing association in Amsterdam, providing affordable housing and opportunities in a city that is constantly evolving. The illustrations are used across the brand book, cards, bags, banners, signage, social media, and the website.
